RupeeDock

Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information RupeeDock may process, why it is used, and how you can manage related permissions and data.

Effective date: 4 August 2026

01 Scope

RupeeDock provides contact backup and related utility services to users in India. This Privacy Policy applies to the RupeeDock app and its related services.

RupeeDock requests a permission only when it is needed for a relevant feature. You may refuse or revoke a permission, but the related feature may then be unavailable.

02 Information We Process

Contact Information

When you actively use the contact backup feature and grant contact permission, RupeeDock may read contact information stored on your device, including:

  • contact names;
  • phone numbers;
  • email addresses;
  • labels and notes; and
  • other contact fields supported by your device.

Contact information is used only to display contacts, identify common contact issues such as duplicate records or missing contact fields, and generate the backup file requested by you.

Contact information is processed on your device and is not automatically uploaded to RupeeDock servers. RupeeDock does not provide features to add, edit, merge, replace, delete, or restore contacts on your device.

Camera Information

RupeeDock may request camera permission only when you actively choose to take a new personal profile photo.

The camera is activated only in response to your action. RupeeDock does not access the camera in the background and does not capture an image without your action.

An image you choose is used only for the profile photo feature and is not used for advertising or personal profiling.

Approximate Location

RupeeDock may use approximate location to identify your general country or region and determine whether RupeeDock services are available in that region.

RupeeDock does not obtain precise location for this feature and does not:

  • determine your exact address;
  • track your movements;
  • access your location continuously;
  • collect location while the app is running in the background;
  • create or retain location history; or
  • use location for advertising or personal profiling.

Device and Technical Information

To maintain app security, compatibility, and stability, RupeeDock may process limited technical information, including:

  • device model;
  • operating system version;
  • app version;
  • language settings;
  • network connection status;
  • diagnostic and error information; and
  • a limited device identifier where required for security checks or technical diagnostics.

This information helps identify compatibility issues, investigate technical errors, improve stability, and detect unusual activity that may affect service security.

Information You Provide

RupeeDock may process information you voluntarily enter or submit, such as profile details, app settings, account information, and messages sent to customer support.

This information is used only to provide the requested feature, save relevant settings, manage your account, or respond to your questions.

03 How Information Is Used

RupeeDock uses information only to the extent reasonably necessary for the relevant feature or service. These purposes include:

  • displaying contacts and identifying common contact issues;
  • creating a contact backup file when you start the backup feature;
  • supporting personal profile photo actions initiated by you;
  • checking whether services are available in your general country or region;
  • maintaining app compatibility, stability, and normal operation;
  • protecting account and service security and identifying unusual activity that may affect service integrity;
  • responding to customer-support requests; and
  • meeting applicable legal obligations.

04 Backup File Handling

A contact backup file is generated locally on your device only after you start the backup process. RupeeDock does not provide a feature for selecting individual contacts before creating the backup.

The backup file is prepared for sharing and is not automatically uploaded to RupeeDock servers or sent to another service.

The RupeeDock backup workflow is limited to user-initiated sharing through the system sharing interface. RupeeDock does not retain a saved-backup history.

When you choose to share a backup, the file is passed to the system sharing interface. The email, cloud storage, Bluetooth, or other application you select may store or process the file under its own privacy policy.

RupeeDock does not provide automatic contact restoration. Creating a backup file does not modify the original contacts stored on your device.

05 Information Sharing

RupeeDock does not sell your personal information or contact information.

Limited information may be processed or disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • when you use the system sharing interface to send a backup file to a third-party service;
  • when necessary to support account, security, infrastructure, diagnostics, or customer-service operations;
  • when required by applicable law, regulation, or a lawful request; or
  • when necessary to protect users, RupeeDock, other parties, or service security.

After you share a file with a third-party service, that service processes the file according to its own privacy policy.

06 Storage, Security, and Retention

Contact information is processed on your device. A backup file is generated locally only as needed for the user-initiated sharing process and is not automatically stored on RupeeDock servers.

RupeeDock does not provide in-app backup storage or a saved-backup history. If an application or service selected through the system sharing interface stores a copy, that copy is controlled by the selected third party and is subject to its privacy terms.

Information required for account management, security checks, customer support, or other online services may be processed and stored on systems or servers associated with rupeedock.com.

RupeeDock applies reasonable technical and organizational measures, including access restrictions, security monitoring, and data-minimization practices, to reduce the risk of unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or loss.

Online information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, meet operational and security needs, resolve disputes, or comply with legal obligations. When it is no longer needed, it will be deleted or otherwise handled in accordance with applicable requirements.

07 Your Rights and Choices

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information associated with you.

You can grant, refuse, or revoke contacts, camera, and approximate-location permissions through your device settings. Revoking a permission stops future access but does not automatically remove a profile photo already set or a backup copy previously sent to a third-party service through the system sharing interface.

To delete your account, use the following path in the app:

Me > Delete Account

After account deletion is completed, information associated with the account will be deleted or otherwise handled as required by applicable rules.

A backup copy previously sent to a third-party service is not automatically removed when the account is deleted. You must manage or delete that copy through the third-party service that received it.

08 Policy Updates

RupeeDock may update this Privacy Policy to reflect feature changes, operational needs, security practices, or legal requirements.

The updated version will be made available in the app or on a relevant RupeeDock page and will take effect when posted. Where required by applicable law, we will provide additional notice or obtain your consent.
